The First Annual Kevin Rooney Memorial Golf Outing was a Success!

windwatch-logo.pngOHILI's 1st Annual Kevin Rooney Memorial Golf Outing on Monday, October 10, contained nothing but golf-friendly weather, good friends, and rousing conversation that all regular attendees are used to. This year, in memory of our dear friend Kevin Rooney, $20 was taken from every attendee's fee to be donated to the Lustgarten Foundation in Kevin's name.

In total, we managed to raise $2,000 for the Lustgarten Foundation. In addition to these funds, Rocco Lacertosa presented a check for $1,000 made out to the Lustgarten Foundation on behalf of NEFI, bringing our total donations to $3,000. Thank you all for your help!

In addition to all the industry members, friends, family and fellow golf enthusiasts who attended this year's outing, we'd like to thank our special guests, the Rooney family, for sharing the day with us. Please check below for a special message from the Rooney family.

We'd also like to congratulate the winners of our Golf Contests and our Grand Raffle! They took home many wonderful prizes and awards for a game well played:

Low Gross Winners:

R. Rutigliano
D. Heiser
G. Missigman
B. Rooney
  Scramble Winners:

N. DelVecchio
M. Hepworth
M. Hepworth, Jr.
M. McNulty

Finally, none of this would've been possible without the support of our various sponsors, the staff at the Wind Watch Golf & Country Club, and our industry supporters. Keep an eye out for more information on next year's golf outing - we're looking forward to seeing you all then!

A Message to Our Friends

My family and I wanted to extend a very heartfelt thank you to everyone who was able to attend the OHI Golf Outing last week. That this event has been re-named in honor of my father made the day that much more special. We want to thank OHI also, for their tremendous support over the last few months, as well as for their very generous gift to the Lustgarten Foundation. Over 36 years, OHI provided my father not only with a livelihood, but with the opportunity to work in a job that he genuinely loved and found fulfillment in - this we always knew. But what has become obvious to us now, and what was surely most important to my father, is that OHI gave him an opportunity to work, on a daily basis, with a tremendous group of people. Your words of kindness, and the genuine affection that many of you felt for my father, is both wonderfully heart-warming and endlessly appreciated by all of us.

Most Sincerely,

Brian Rooney and Family
